apparently my cpu is causing overheating on my motherboard I have the 990 fx killer motherboard and amd 9590 cpu and cpu is 220 w and supposedly motherboard only supports 120 w can anyone confirm this? when I built computer on pc part picker it said no issues found.

If your MB is the asrock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer, and yes, it does not support the fx9590, The MB can only support the CPU with 140W TDP. The fx9590 is not in the cpu support list. http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1ty%20990FX%20Killer/?cat=CPU
If you want to keep the fx9590, buy other MB like Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z, Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0, or ASRock 990FX Extreme9.
