Google Chrome acting wierd.

Alright, this started happening about 2 days ago. 5/10 times I search something on google it flashes the resoults of the search for like a second and then goes to a plain white screen with only the searchbar, the URL bar and the tabs I have oppened. I then have to proceed to punch the search in again and it would come up. Why is it doing that. Please anyone?

  1. Scan for a virus/malware. Try Malwarebytes when you do. Also, Chrome can somtimes bug-out, so a reinstall will often fix the problem. You won't lose anything if you have Chrome linked to a Google account and have it store everything, bookmarks, add-ons, etc. It would reload all of it when you sign your account into Chrome.

What are the chances of this being some sort of Malware/virus?
  3. First of all , make sure it is actually google chrome browser, and not something like "Chromium".

Go to settings and remove any suspicious extensions.

I've got no extentions, no addons, no 3rd party software, no nothing. Just vanilla chrome, I like my PC as clean as possible
  5. Malwarebytes full scan came up clean. no surprise there, so I guess I just need to reinstall or wait for it to get fixed by google.
  6. Chrome should have some extensions in there by default just to handle certain types of code. Did you check if there were any extensions there?

You may just need to uninstall and reinstall google chrome.
  7. Chances of Malware are slim, Chrome tends to stay pretty clean unless you go to dumb sites all the time lol.

Just try the reinstall and see if that works.
