Hey guys, I got a question. I have on my HDD my OS and some stuff of course. Now I am buying SSD and want to transfer OS to it. Is there any way to move my OS with the same key to my SSD without CD?

Solution
Here is the thing with windows and motherboards:

Windows licenses come in 2 flavors, OEM and Retail. An OEM or Systems Builders license is tied to a computer, more specifically the motherboard. A Retail license can be transferred to a different computer as many times as desired as long as it is only on 1 computer at any time.

Thus if you have an OEM license that gets activated on your current board, and you then swap to a newer motherboard your old windows key will not activate to your new board (if it does then it will switch to not genuine in 3-7 days).
Now many people have had luck calling Microsoft and saying their motherboard died and getting a activation code to activate windows. Now this is not a guarantee and plenty of...

Most if not all SSD manufacturers have cloning software available for free either bundled with the drive or available on their websites for download. This software would clone/migrate all your data and ofc your operating system from the HDD to the SSD. Checkout the makers of your SSDs website for support and downloads I'm sure you'll find they have a free cloning app/program for hard drive os migration.

If you get a Samsung evo drive it comes with their data migration software and is very straightforward and will transfer over your drive; assuming the used space of the drive is less then the SSD drive (cant get 500gb of data on a 120gb drive obviously).

For other drives, paragon and some other companies all make hard drive cloning software.

Even if the Evo is basic version?

Samsung ssd comes in basic, notebook upgrade kit and desktop upgrade kit.

Oh ok, I see what you mean by "basic" now.

Yes the drive-only "basic" version does include the software.

The desktop version includes a 2.5 to 3.5 bracket to mount in your hard drive cage, and not entirely sure what a notebook kit comes with, I would assume it is a usb to sata adapter.
