2tb - Unable to connect to Android phones/Tablets

Hi, Is there any way to connect my western elements 2tb HD to Android phones?

It is in ExFat format.

I've Nexus 7 2013 & Yu Yureka as my gadgets.

Any help ??

Well if you use ExFat, Android (or Linux) will have a hard time understanding the file format. Use FAT32 or ext4. Not all phones/tablets support FAT32 or ext4. They will for sure support one of them though.

Well NTFS is the closest thing to FAT32, exFAT is not supported on phones. Are you using an OTG USB connector to connect the drives?

My 8 and 16gb pendrives are connecting with no problem.. On fat32 and exfat
When I connect my HDD it sometimes connect for a sec and disconnects immediately. Most of the times, It doesn't even connect!

Does the HDD come with an external power source? Or there's just an USB connector? Android phones/tablets can't supply that amount of power to the Hard drives.
