Remaining budget could be spread to

1.) A more worthwhile case, however this one very cheaply does the job.

2.) A Z97 motherboard to provide with an even wider still array of upgrade options later on.

3.) A GTX 970 which would provide a bit more overall raw performance, and better standing into larger resolutions.

You are really limited in OC'ing with the -DS3P --- 4.3- to 4.4GHz is the ceiling, essentially. Not a big gain over stock FX-4350 4.2GHz. Look out for a bad over-volt on 'Auto' It will push the GTX 960 just dandy if your PSU does not hold you back.

On the -UD3P it's all on the Chip Gods. If your FX-4350 was baked during the second half of 2014 (likely) high clocks with low volts. 4.8GHz at something ridiculous -- less than 1.4v using decent air.

This build isn't one I made I seen it on the overclockers website and they put it together that's why I thought the mobo and the fx 4350 would run okay together ?

If you insist on going with the AM3+ socket, I recommend the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P. It has a 8+2 pp and would get you a very high OC. You would almost be able to compete with an i3.

Your CPU will run fine in the -DS3P, at stock 4.2GHz.

That's easy to say when it's not your money.

I bet that 9 out of every 10 threads about "random fps drops" or "build not performing like it should" on this site are because of somebody trying to run a 125w FX on a cheapo motherboard.
