Hello, I am at my wits end. Originally while playing a game I started about 6 months ago I started getting Clock_watchdog_timeout bsod. Now it has progressively gotten worse to the point of I could only play a game for about 15min. It was doing this while I had Win 7. I upgraded to the current Win 10 and it had continued still. So it has become such a problem that I did some research and tried to fix it.
1: I upgraded the most recent BIOS from the manufacture web (driver date 11/14/13) Didnt fix it.
2. set BIOS to default
3. Installed liquid cooling because I read that the clock err was overheating even though my temps were in normal range at all times.
4. Ran mem test. no err's. Ran sfc no err's
5. DL'd the chipset driver from manufacture site( didnt install because the drivers were AMD catylist but dated 2011) So i assumed to go get the latest chipset drivers from AMD being as it is an AMD chipset.
Now number 5 did work. I no longer receive Clock_watchdog_timeout. But now I am getting the irql_not_less_or_equal after about 15min of a game. So now I am now out of ideas. I would greatly appreciate help. Thank you for your time.

Hi,
Can you please give me the system log detales?
Event Viewer is the place where to find system log details. To contact this database, go to Control Panel and access the System and Security category. Click Event Viewer within Administrative Tools to open up its Window. Navigate through the tree in left pane to view System under Windows Logs. Locate the error in the list of events and Copy details as text in the right pane. Paste the copied info in a Notepad file and then post it here please.
Thanks

Also, If you could go into Device Manager and make sure all your drivers are up to date.
If any of the drivers have a yellow triangle next to them, right click on that driver and uninstall it, then restart the computer.
Hope this helps

Also, try running Memory Diagnostic, to do this type Memory Diagnostic in the search and click on Diagnose your computer’s memory problems to bring up a dialog box. It will ask you to perform the check by either restarting immediately or on the next restart. Opt for the immediate one to get going.
The system on restarting will carry a scan on the memory and come up with errors, if detected. If the scan finds your RAM to be problematic, you will need to replace this piece of hardware.

Also, Try doing a clean boot,
Type msconfig on your Search and hit Enter to open System Configurations. Go to its Boot tab and choose to perform Clean Boot or Safe Boot. System will then restart with temporarily disabled processes. Once there, try running each application (those enlisted in startup) at a time and identify the one in conflict. Subsequently, the program should be fixed, updated, or removed to avoid inconvenience in future.

Also It only does it when I am playing a game after about 20 minuets there is only 1 item under device manager that has a yellow sign is a ps/2 mouse driver but i uve a wireless mouse and never used a direct connect ps/2 mouse on this pc. I uninstall it but it keeps coming back after every restart. So recap Sfc /scannow= no problems. Ran memtest= no problems. Thats why im stumped lol.
