Hi there,

I'm going to buy a new pc, but i feel i'm going over-budget a bit, but this is what i have thus far:

Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING PRO (not very sure about this)
CPU: Intel i7-6700k (pretty sure about this)
CPU cooling-unit: Scythe Ninja 4 (not at all sure about this, will this keep my CPU cool enogh while overclocking?)
GPU: Inno3D GeForce GTX 980 TI - iChill X4 Ultra (very sure about this)
Memory: Vengeance® LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 Memory (not sure about this)
SSD + HDD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB + 1TB HDD (sure about this, I can always upgrade)
PSU: Cooler Master V750 Semi-Modular (maybe a bit too much but i like the buffer because I use external devices which use some power and I would like to be overclocking)
Case: Cooler Master CM 690 III Window

I really want this PC to be ready for the future (about 7 years with sporadic upgrades) since i wont be spending this much on a PC (probably) ever. Still I have the feeling I might be spending too much (or maybe not enough) on some components..

Any advice is very welcome! and thanks in advance!!!

You doooooon't need 3000Mhz RAM. 1866 would be the highest you should go for gaming as the difference isn't noticable and I'd recommend to go for a PSU from EVGA

7 years is a long time if you're expecting ultra high settings the whole time but it should be fine if you gradually lower settings over the years.

Agreed that you don't need fast RAM, it makes next to no difference in games. That CPU only officially supports up to 2133Mhz DDR4 anyway, I'd just go for that. Also you don't need 16GB RAM for gaming, I'd go for 8GB and just upgrade if/when you need more otherwise you'll have like 8-10GB sat there doing nothing.

The i7-6700K would give pretty much identical performance to an i5-6600k in games as well but it costs a lot more, I'd go for the i5.

I'd look at a better quality PSU, perhaps a 650W XFX or 720W Seasonic.

That motherboard and cooler look fine, I'd consider a Noctua NH-D15 for the cooler if you can afford it though. More expensive but one of the very best on the market.
