Got a brand new beast for high end gaming and was especially impressed by the ASRock X99 Extreme3's purity sound 2, but...

My problem is that the headset amp is connected to the front panel and the sound is amazing, but the microphone is extremely weak. Likewise, the rear main panel has the superior microphone jack, but the audio is extremely weak and quiet here.

short of hooking up an extension to use two different jacks ghetto-style, what can I do? I use windows 10 and I'm using the updated drivers from the ASrock website.

Hi,
I'm Davis from ASRock HQ TSD.

About this case, we provide few ways for you to verify.
1.Please load BIOS default setting.
2.Please install microphone to rear panel for try.
3.Please increase the volume of microphone in Realtek high definition audio driver.
4.Please check your microphone be set as default in record.
5.If you have another microphone, please change it or install the microphone to another platform for verify.

Thanks a lot !!

I have not touched the BIOS. this problem has been occurring since opening the box

Both volume and microphone volume AND microphone boost are all maxed, also with enhancements disabled and enabled.

Microphone works fine in the rear panel but the rear panel playback sucks for headsets.

Also the same problem with another headset.
