How to get Windows 7 onto a Zip file

Hello. How can I share my copy of Windows 7 with a friend so that they can install it on their PC? I can't actually physically install it because we live far apart. So, I was thinking I could some how ZIP file it and then email it, but I don't even know how to do that or where to begin. Thanks for any suggestions

Unless they have a key, this would be illegal.

If they have a key, the preferred method for sending a CD/DVD would be to image the install disc and send that image file. They would then burn and install it.

Thanks for the reply. I copied Windows 7 to an ISO file, but it was only 3,176 mb. Seems way to small to me, should'nt the ISO file be like 20 gigs?

No because a DVD can not hold that much data. It is compressed and decompresses when installed.

That size seems about right.

For a while MS had the ISO's up for download, but I think they removed them.

It looks like they have something even better(well easy to use).

Drop in the required key and it seems they will set you up. Your friend may be able to get it this way(MS servers are generally very fast).
