I hope they even exist. I have an Acer Aspire 5050 and just for laughs I put in a hard drive from my Dell e4300 that had windows 8.1 on it. The thing eventually booted up and I was able to run updates just fine. I'm in total shock. They even had different brands of processors.
I would love to get drivers that work for the 3 PCI FLASH MEMORY items.
Yes I already tried several drivers from Acer site.This machine doesn't support anything other that xp and vista on their site, so yeah, I am trying to cheat the system. I really don't want to run vista on it and I couldn't get 7 to update. It got stuck in the loop of checking even after I jumped though hoops MS and other forums suggested.
