I just found this Alienware 15:http://www.costco.ca/Dell%E2%84%A2-Alienware-15-English-Laptop%2c-i5-4210H-.product.100218846.html# It seems like a great deal considering the bottom line Alienware 15 from Dell in Canada is $1949.99 CAD which is ridiculous. For the price in the link above is it worth it? Or would the Lenovo Y50 or Asus laptops around that price point be better for the money?

http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00VVU4NGA/ref=dra_a_rv_ff_fx_it_P2000_1000?tag=dradisplay0c-20&ascsubtag=bb6c741756fb2498ba21a0efa59be1e9_S&dra_hfr=x&dra_ohs=24-48 and http://shop.lenovo.com/ca/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y50/ are the other laptops I'm considering for reference.

Would be using the laptop for Uni(CAD,programming) and games such as WoW, HoTS, GTA.

ok i understand the want of a gaming laptop but do you NEED portability that's the first thing and second thing is if it's for uni the laptop would need a sufficient battery life the alienware 15 is at 5hrs at low brightness but if the laptop is going to be in charge most of the time than go for it 100% but keep in mind the laptop has a 965m meaning it wont be able to keep up with the newer titles with 2gb of vram but if none of these things bother you than by all means go ahead

Portability is important, as I'll be back and forth between home, school, and work a lot. Battery isn't really an issue as anywhere I'd use it I can generally have it plugged in.

if that's the case than go for it but keep in mind that you won't be able to turn up all the setting with a 965m and 2gb of vram but if that doesn't bother you than it's an epic deal SO GO FOR ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!
