How will it affect my PC if I use one GTX 780 in a PCI-e 3.0 16x slot and another one in a PCI-e 3.0 4x slot?

Well hello my fellow nerds, today I was looking at expanding my Hardware and I realised that my 2nd PCI-e slot only is 3.0 4x instead of my PCI-e 3.0 16x where i got my normal GTX 780 in, so my question is : will it affect my pc's perfomance a lot if I put it in a 4x port instead of the normal 16x port?

As a 780 owner I personally wouldn't consider sli'ing it. I have already hit the 3gb vram limit at 1080p so the thought of investing so much money in 2 gpu's which are capped at 3gb seems pointless. I'd rather sell my 780 and get a 980Ti, ok it will cost a little more but would be a much better gpu solution.

Also as said your motherboard won't support sli? Is your psu even powerful enough?

Ummmm.. how do you mean you hit the vram limit?
If you have 6 gb though sli won't it work like that you can output or your output will be 3gb?
