CPU core speed drops out of nowhere.

hey guys,

so whatever I am doing sometimes my cpu core speed drop from 4000 to 1396.
when this happens when I am playing any game a get insane fps drops (from 80 to 15)
my temps are good.

SPECS:

Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0
Processor: AMD FX-8350, 4,0 GHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper212 Evo
Video Card: GIGABYTE GV-N970G1
Memory: Corsair 8 GB DDR3-1600 (x2)
Hard Drive: Seagate Desktop SSHD, 1 TB

I would say monitor you CPU temperature it may be thermal throttling. Your cpu starts this when the temperature reaches or passes 70c as mentioned here :www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1722394/amd-8350-maximum-safe-temp.html

have you made sure you power option is set to balanced or even high performance?

I did just play h1z1 full settings and the CPU temperatures didn't go higher as 40 degrees

ye that's the program what I used in the first place and that got me discover the low clocks speed. so yes confirmed xD
