This is the second time this has happened to my computer, first time I got lucky.

This time, I was trying to update Windows but the update would not install. I decided to restart my computer, thinking there may be updated waiting to install first... Then both monitors stopped working.

Last time, after trying everything else with no luck, I decided to remove the battery from the motherboard, and both monitors came up, and the pc asked me to fix bios. After that it worked fine for 2 weeks (that's today).

Could it be that I over worked my cpu? I'm running an AMD A10-6700 with Radeon HD 8670D integrated graphics... The thing is, I've never had any warning flags go up until it quits altogether...

Would I be able to check this if I got a new graphics card that is not integrated? I'm not 100% certain my motherboard will take one... I have one slot available, and it says CrossFireX ready (i don't know what that is...) But other than that it looks like that correct slot... My motherboard is a ASUS F2A55-M

I'd rather fix my computer than scrap it, it's still pretty new (3 years).

Edit: when the pc does fail, I also notice that the power supply ramps up to max speed and will not back off. The power supply is stock with the computer 350W
