I think my CPU is causing BSOD do i need to replace it or are there other solutions?

Recently I've been getting occasional Blue Screens on my desktop. I was unable to repeat them through normal usage. Now they became far more frequent and i am able to repeat them using prime95 almost instantly.

Windbg analyses of the mini dump file gets me this

I assume this means my CPU is the cause. Is there a way to fix this or must i replace my CPU?

This is my set up http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yXLC8d I have replaced the stock CPU fan and doubled the RAM.

Solution
max tCase for that cpu is 72.72 degrees C

running too hot, and should shutdown if the shutdown is not disabled.

bugcheck 0x124 is just the CPU shutting down the system because of a detected problem.
Most often overclocking, overheating and related power problems.

generally, update the BIOS to make sure you have proper CPU support, remove any overclocking, check to make sure you have proper power to your graphics card and the PSU is properly rated.

if the system is older, make sure the fans in the CPU, GPU, and power supply are spinning up and running at full speed.

put the memory dump on a server and post a link, the memory dump contains a system timer, often the system timer will be under 15 seconds if you have a power problem, and over 15 mins if you have a cooling problem.
running prime95 can expose cooling problems, and you should also watch your temps as the program runs.

Thanks for the quick Reply I'll do what i can for now but have to leave for class soon

This is the latest mini dump https://www.mediafire.com/?3lxxycbgbjncbom]

as for temps i was watching them with CPUID HWMonitor while running Prime95 I only have a few seconds but they only reached around 75 (starts around 41) degrees Celsius before crashing.

The System was put together in June last year so I'll look into a BIOS update.

When the system first started crashing the first thing i tried was removing and reinstalling everything from the Mother Board. I removed all the dust as i try to do at least once a month and the fans seemed fine, I'll look at it again tomorrow after work.

As for overclocking i haven't tried anything with that yet so it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks johnbl. You're right i have lowered my target temp and now my CPU temp doesn't increase over 60 degrees. I was able to run prime 95 for over 10 minutes in safe mode without any crashes. however it does still crash almost instantly when i use the blended option. I now believe the problem may be my RAM. I am going to test that tomorrow... today... after work.

My plan is to only run one RAM stick at a time testing it with prime 95 to try and force a crash unless there is a better option i don't know about.

Maybe i'll try running memtest from windows.

I tested my RAM and found no errors with that, however i did find out i had turned on the automatic over clock genie on my motherboard, i turned that off and everything seems to work fine now.

I ran prime95 for about 15 minutes without any issues.

The temp was definitely a problem, i reached close to 70 degrees after those 15 min but nothing i will normally do will push my computer that hard. thanks again.

I wish i could choose both of you as a solution...
