I have a desktop with Win. 7 and I played with the bios and I changed something, now it refuses to boot. It stays at the logo of Compaq(my pc manufacturer) and it display settings. Esc for setup, F1 for boot options. Since I have a desktop My wireless keyboard wont work at that screen. I tried pressing every button, but no luck. I need the keyboard to work so I can access the BIOS settings. Any Help Is Appreciated. Thanks in Advance! (I'm dying to use my computer, Please, Please Help!) Also please don't say to take for it repair because the machine is not worth the repair costs, I actually got an estimate and it was total of $290(Really, I can get a new PC, crazy world!) Please Help!

the best part, is you telling us you need help with your motherboard, without saying what motherboard you have....

please tell us your system specs so I can tell you how to reset CMOS step by step.

ok i'm just going to go ahead. You will need a paperclip/screwdriver/some metallic stuff for this. Also a flashlight is welcome (or just do it with day light):

1st-> open PC.
2nd -> search the CLR_CMOS pins. should be something like this:

01-two-pins.jpg

3rd -> touch both pins with the metallic (something that is conductive) stuff, so it short circuits, for 5 seconds at least.
4th -> BIOS should be reset to factory default.
5yh -> yey
