I am planning on building a gaming PC. I don't know much about so i need a little advice from some experts.
I already have parts picked out. My goal is pretty much to be able to run any game on max settings and fps on 2560 x 1440 p.

So can it do the job? If so, any other info is appreciated, especially on the MoBo since i basically just picked one from a list. If you see anywhere i can save some money or make replacements let me know as well, as long as it can still do what i want. Thanks

i never said bottleneck. The build is simply unbalanced. and by that line of thought why not:
- spend extra 100 on i7.
- spend extra 100 on SSD.
- spend extra 500 on 4K monitor or 2x2K monitor (27'' minimum)
- spend 50 on +8GB RAM.

"check your facts" lol the guy is buying a 700$ card, but then gets an i5, 8GB of RAM and a 25'' monitor (not even 27'', but then says 1440p).

It simply doesn't make sense. Also, with DX12 at the door, I would go down on the GPU and get the i7. but hey! some taxis are fast right???

And as stated before, where...

You are going for the best GPU on the market, but then you are saving on the CPU and you don't even have the display to get full potential out of the juice the card gives you.... (not even to mention the lack of SSD).

That build is like having a ferrari engine inside a taxi with flat tires.....

SSDs don't really make a huge difference in a lot of scenarios but they are nice to have. will boost Windows startup times and may help with some games that also have longer load time. but, i wouldn't cut back on CPU, GPU, or memory to add one to the build. also, the best graphics cards on the market right now are Titans and AMD's HBM versions.

after using the first SSD some 5/6 years ago for the first time, I honestly consider any build planned on +2014 from the stone age when not having one. also, 120GB SSD is not that expensive nowadays.....

also regarding the GPUs:

Titan and AMD what mate?

And as stated before, where is the money for the displays? you buy hardware to get 4K and all that. fine by me. but then you don't have the displays to get the images......

i think its unbalaced, thats all.

Thanks for the input. Honestly i forgot about this thread, but i did end up making some changes as i did more research.

I did upgrade to an i7. I added an ssd (i agree, they are definitely something i don't want to go without), and i upgraded to a much better monitor. The only downside is that this is getting crazy expensive. But i'd say it's worth it for something i'll be using for a few years.
