Hello,

Recently did a format on my PC due to black screen of death and when i boot now i get the boot mgr missing message.

But if i leave the windows usb in and dont press and key to boot from usb it loads into windows.

I did try a startup repair but it found no problems.

I have seen other topics mention using gparted for something i do have a hidden 350mb partition, could that be causing the boot problems? if so how do i fix that?

everything it set in the correct order in bios when it fails to boot, but having the USB as first preference it boots fine.

Thanks

If you don't have anything on the system drive you want to keep, run the Windows setup again, select the disk options, delete all partitions, create a new partition, install Windows on that. Should run OK after that.
