I am having problems with my internet connection. A week ago, I had 5/5 and 4/5 bars on my computer. I had noticed lately that I had been disconnecting from my games and never thought anything of it, until today. I looked at my connection status and noticed it was at 2/5 and 1/5. I am only about 50 feet away from my router and my phone gets 3/3 bars at the same location. My computer is only 9 months old, so I have no clue what is happening. I have run scans and it says it's fixed, when it really isn't. Please help!

The built in Windows networking fix is rarely useful.

The question is how is the desktop connecting to the internet? The wifi that gets included on most motherboards is quite subpar. In all likelihood that is your culprit is the phone is connecting without any issue.

See if there is a driver upgrade for your wifi.

If the router is that close, you are better off with a wired connection if that is at all possible. If not, then you can go to a Powerline setup, or a new wifi adapter. Powerline is actually preferred.

I found an update for my network adapter. It helped a bit, but it spikes down a bit now. I'll determine if the problem is fixed tomorrow. If not, I will do one of your suggestions. Thank you helping me.
