Hi my CPU is an intel core i7 950
my GPU is the MSI GTX 970 4G which I got new today
my PSU is a novatech 600W ATX modular
Motherboard a GIGABYTE GA X58 USB3
So I sat the GPU down on the PCIe express 16 slot plugged the PCIe connectors (8+6) pin on the side of my GPU, plugged the 8 pin female end of the PCIe cable into my PSU and my pc failed to boot...
So then I used molex adapters to connect to the GPU and okay... it did turn on; fans running and lights turning on on the graphics card HOWEVER a text appeared which said "please power down and connect PCIe power cables for this graphics card".
THE problem is that I already did what the message told me but the entire pc didn't turn on let alone the graphics card when I used the direct PSu PCIe cables. I need help on how to power up my GPU without everything failing to boot in the first place.
Help will be very appreciated
