What fans should I purchase for my Gaming PC?

My current PC build is as follows:

NZXT Noctis 450
Asus Z97-P
Intel i5-4690k
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo
8GB RAM
Sapphire 7990 6GB
Corsair RM 750W
Acer XG270HU 1440p

I am currently getting rather high GPU temperatures, even after short periods of gaming of around 30 minutes. It can rise to around 80c and keep on rising past that depending on the game/time playing. I am using MSI afterburner with a custom fan profile. I have only recently realised that I have three 120mm intake fans on the front of my case, and one 140mm outtake fan on the back, with no fans on the roof of my case. There is space for three 120mm or two 140mm fans, so I am looking to fit some to hopefully improve the temperatures.

I realise this will not bring my temps down by a large amount - I am aware of how hot this card runs, with it being a dual GPU, and am going to be purchasing an R9 390 to replace it in a few months. The 7990 was borrowed from a friend for the time being.

Can anyone recommend what fans would be best to fit into the case? I have been looking at the following:

I don't really want to spend £20 on a single fan, but £24 for two fans is fine if these would do the job for me.

Ahhh, that is unfortunate. You want to look for High Air Flow (HAF) fans and it will also depend on your preference for noise. With higher air flow, HAF fans tend to get louder, so there is always a trade off of air flow and noise.

Here are a few similar to the ones you suggested. Not sure if color scheme plays a big role or etc. But pricing is about the same or less.

Like I said, the more air you move, it is typically louder. The first one moves more air (63.47 CFM) and...

The fans you listed are SP fans and are usually only good for CPU coolers such as radiators. It looks like your case is a positive pressure one so it should make sense to use AF fans instead to help move the hot air out through the top.

As for looking for fans, I've used these before and they work. However they don't push much air, but if you can fit three then they would help a bit. Also they're quite good for their price.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately it doesn't look like those fans are sold here in the UK, I'm unable to find them anywhere. Is there anything I specifically need to look out for, to find suitable fans for my case?

Like I said, the more air you move, it is typically louder. The first one moves more air (63.47 CFM) and is at 30 decibels whereas the second one moves less air (39.88 CFM) and is much quieter at 21 decibel. Check the bottom of the second link for a comparison.

Hope this has helped.

Thank you very much hermantset, I will pick two of those up on Friday i think. The GPU is already pretty loud under load and i usually play with a headset on so noise doesn't matter too much, so I will probably go for the first option :)
