Not sure if VMware Workstation graphics passthrough configured correctly...

I am not certain whether I have configured my VMware workstation properly. I have 32-bit windows XP installed for future testing of a game I am developing.

I have been testing it with increasingly more demanding games to run on it, but when I came as far as SPORE, it just melts down in space stage, when terraforming and when rotating the map. I don't know about the rest of the game, I just used the console to skip to the final stage.

Now I KNOW it can do better, I have seen people running games such as Dragon age: Inquisition and Tomb Raider with 85% pass-through efficiency with graphics cards lesser than mine.

Right now its configured like this:
MEMORY: 6GB
PROCESSORS: 1-cpu, 8-cores, Automatic Virutalization mode
HDD EMULATION: 100GB, IDE 0:0
CD/DVD: Rigged for host image reader
NETWORK CONTROLLER: disabled
USB CONTROLLER: USB 2.0 compatibility
SOUND CARD: Automatic
DISPLAY: Accelerated 3D graphics ON, Host setting for monitors, guest memory reserved - 2GB(max, but I have 3GB)

Is there something I missed?

In this situation its more of a memory and CPU intensive issue. The space stages turns the game from an open world to a multitude of open worlds all loading, updating, changing, ai calculation, physics calculations, etc.

I don't think you're the right person to be talking to regarding this matter. You seem to have skipped on a few basics, for example actually taking the time to read the configuration I have already listed.

With RAM allocation aside (you have 6GB on a 32-bit OS!?) Your using Direct X 9.0c at the highest, witch limits floating point operations that can be performed (highest available for XP), among other factors.
