Hey everyone,

First time posting and,I'm hoping i posted this in the correct forum. Im plaining on upgrading my computer and can use some advice. My PC is for gaming and 3ds max work for school.

i have,

MSI 760GMA-P34
HD6790 2gb
16gb ram 2x kingston hyper fury
600W Crossair PS
6350 AMD
samsung ssd HDD 120gb
extra hdd's

Thats just the pc, i just purchased a a LG 55ub8200 UHDTV

Im thinking of upgrading to

MSI 990FXA GAMING
AMD 8350 Black
GTX980ti

My question's are. i want to use the TV for games moves e.c.t at its native resolution. im also looking at a Samsung 31.5-Inch Curved Screen S32E590C for the desk. Should i be worrying about the power? im assuming my ram would be fine at 16gb. Also the amd processor do you think its worth the upgrade? is the samsung monitor worth it, since the size and its at 1080? havent found many reviews on it. all around thoughts an opinions will really help me. I think i have a good setup lined up but i really want to make sure.

Thanks everyone.

I wouldn't upgrade the CPU to the 8350, you would have no performance increase in games because they aren't going to touch any more than 4 cores. I would either spend some cash on cooling and overclock the FX-6350 or upgrade to an i5.

16GB RAM is actually overkill for gaming so any more than that would be throwing your money away.

The GTX 980Ti looks great, you will need that for 4k gaming. At 4k you'd be looking at medium-high settings in most games, low-medium for the really demanding ones. I'd have a look at the R9 Fury X as well, similar performance at 4k so I'd just get whichever one is cheaper.

I wouldn't buy that curved monitor personally because I think it is a bit of a gimmick, I'd rather just get a good quality IPS panel. For that price you could buy a 27'' 1440P IPS or something. In fact you might even find one at half the price.

600W should be OK, you would be cutting it a bit fine if you went for really aggressive overclocks on both the CPU and GPU but for stock settings and/or just overclocking one or the other you should be OK.
