I have no video out of my XFX RADEON Double D R9 280X

I have no video out of my XFX RADEON Double D R9 280X, but do out of my AS Rocks Z77 EXTREME4 M/B. The card is in the first PC next to the CPU. Bios is set to primary video is PCI Express. The GPU card has a 6 pin and a 8 pin power connector. My case P/S has 2 6 pin power connectors. One labeled PCI Express and the other SLI ready. If the 6 pin with PCI Express is plugged in, nothing happens. If both 6 pin connectors are plugged in via a 2-6pin to 8 pin adapter that came with the GPU, the fans come on. But still no video.

And and all help is greatly appreciated,

Hello,

i want to verify you have both a 6 and 8pin connector plugged in at the same time?
Are you using any adapters?
Has it ever worked?
Have you tried any other video cards?
Have you tried it in any other computers?

I also have an issue that the pc doesnt detect the video card,I have UEFI BIOS. which apparently isnt suppoerted by this card?Is this the problem

This card should have a UEFI bios, have you made a ticket at xfxsupport.com? I dont believe very many 280x's were made without them and only in the first run
