Has anyone heard how Intel/Micron's 3D Xpoint will change mobos?

By the description of 3DXpoint, new mobos could be radically different from what we are used to.

From my quick search, it's a faster and denser equivalent of flash. m.2 and NVMe are already becoming commodity features, and will probably handle this memory too.

Did I miss something?
