NVidia controller stopped working and restarted again GTX960

Hi, it has been a while since i dont touch my computer because i went on a vacation.
So after some hours on the internet and downlaoding updates my monitor suddenly went black and back on giving me the mensage that my graphics card controller stopped working and has recovered. Could some one please explain me what could be causing this? and should i be worried about this?
system specs:
i5 4460 3.2GHZ
ASUS GTX 960
NOX URANO VX 650W
ASUS H81-GAMER SKT 1150

We have almost the same rig I had this issue too but its caused by windows NOT nvidia. I tryed some things and never got the issue again

Hey thanks for the reply. I have investigated a little bit more and i found out that when that event occurred i didnt had the latest Nvidia drivers installed and even the latest windows updates but this ever happens again i will try those things mentioned in the link you gave me.
