Ok this is a pretty vague question, but I want to know if I can connect my PC to my network via a ethernet cable. I'm pretty good when it comes to computer hardware, but I'm not really good with differences between routers and networks and such. I have been using a USB Wireless Network Adapter ever since I built my PC and the internet and downloading speeds are just waaay too low. I really do believe it has a lot to do with where my PC is placed, with a whole floor and 2-3 walls between my PC and the router that's directly below me. My room also has a lot of stuff in a small room which I think lowers the speeds (again I'm not very educated on the subject so I'm not entirely sure).

Anyways, I just wanted to know if I can connect my PC via the ethernet port. Is there anything stopping me from connecting my PC to my network wired? I can connect via a wireless network adapter and all my phones/tablets can access the network through wifi.

The only thing stopping you is having an Ethernet cable going from the router to the computer. Doing this properly to a second story (assuming 1st story is not an unfinished basement) and across multiple rooms is fairly difficult and requires specialized tools for the job.
