PC making rattling noise

so i recently built a new PC with an i5-4690 processor and a GTX 970 graphics card and when i started playing a competitive match on counter-strike: global offensive it started making a weird rattling/clicking noise. if i alt+tab to the desktop or quit the match it will stop. it does this even if it is not a competitive match.

does anybody know why it would be doing this?

Have you tried listening to see where the noise is coming from? A fan could be bad, hitting an object/cable, or be loosely screwed in. It could also be GPU coil whine or maybe a dying hard drive.

Sounds like a cable is hitting the GPU fans.

i have listened and it seems to be coming from the PSU or maybe the motherboard. the rattling noise only happens when i am playing CS:GO, not minecraft, CS:Source, or even fallout 3. i dont think it would be a dying HDD as i only built this PC yesterday and all the parts are fresh. i have checked and it is not hitting any cables.
