Hi everyone i am searching for a new HP laptop and I am looking for help on a couple things if anyone is willing :). As i've been searching for a strong gaming laptop that can handle high settings / 1080p games and movies at a decent price, i'm setting my eyes on the HP ENVY - 15t Slim Quad Laptop.

Specs are:
Windows 8.1 64
4th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4722HQ Quad Core Processor + NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M 4GB Discrete Graphics
8GB DDR3L System Memory (1 Dimm)
1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive

It's a customizable laptop so I can switch a few things like the ram but there is something i am confused about.

I have the option of choosing either the standard - HD BrightView WLED-backlit Display 1366x768), or for $50 more, the Full HD WLED-backlit Display (1920x1080).

Which display is best-matched for the graphics card and better for watching HD movies and tv shows? I am willing to pay $50 extra so should I go for 1920x1080 if it is really full HD?

And overall are the specs pretty good / decent for the latest and upcoming games?

Thanks for anyone that can send a quick reply and give me some advice ^^

Don't have to read i'm just rambling here: I'm not too laptop savvy so I've been researching the whole night about graphics cards / processors and I learned that the new 5th generation i7 is actually worse than the i7-4722HQ because it's new? I'm seeing many people say that. I've also learned (hopefully) that the GTX 950m is decent enough for gaming unless you want to go high end and aim for gtx 960-980m. I'm also planning on switching to Windows 10 asap if i buy this laptop because I really hate Windows 8. Sorry it's really late here haha.

It depends on the type of games you are playing. If you plan on playing the latest games then the 720p screen is the best as the gpu can't handle higher settings. If on the other hand you want to play older games, then the 1080p screen is better for you.

Also it depends on how much of a movie buff you are as the 1080p screen will make the movie better looking than the 720p.
