I bought an OEM copy of Win7 Home Premium when I built my last PC back in 2012 or so. I have heard that some copies are locked to the MB. I have a unbranded copy and on the disk it says "Intended for distribution with a new PC". Comes in a clear DVD case with a instruction book. Would I be able to install this on a new PC I am building?

Solution
Technically no, since it's oem it is locked to motherboard of the system it was first installed on. If you want to move it you have to ask microsoft they might let you they might not.
