EVGA GTX 970 keeps getting stuck in low power mode

SO randomly and without warning my GPU will decide it needs to save power and run at 20 or 30% power, which also reduces the clock speed down to like 400/500 and no matter what it wont go higher, restarting my PC does fix it but it keeps happening, does anyone know a more permanent fix?

mention your PSU , also any pattern of this random behaviour. IS your PC in high performance mode always?

Try setting it to Maximum performance mode in nvidia control panel, then reboot your computer.

Go to manage 3d settings, then power management mode

Thanks, this sounds like it should work, ill go play and do what seemed to be causing it before and see if its fixed.
