Problem:
Windows 7 64-bit system
No Audio I/O via Front or Rear (HD Audio, not AC97) 3.5mm jacks (computer doesn't even recognize anything is plugged in)
No Audio via USB Headset
What I've already checked:
I've updated to most recent audio driver
I've tried rolling back to two other previously released drivers
I've verified that on-board audio is enabled in BIOS
I've verified that audio is not being passed through HDMI by disabling this in control panel (video output is DVI dongle to VGA anyways)
I'm really scratching my head on this one because the USB headset should work regardless of whether or not the 3.5mm jacks are working.
When you plug in the USB headset, it does recognize that a device is plugged in and if you test the microphone, you can see audio signals are being input, but there is still no audio. I am going to test a second USB headset to verify if the speakers on the other are faulty.
Would love any/all help with this.
