Hello everyone. I am having a really strange problem. Today I got my new r9 290 from Asus (oc edition). But when I tried to install the latest windows 10 drivers from AMD website my screen goes black and I keep hearing the windows device connected-device disconnected sound. I restarted my PC and after the windows 10 loading screen (where windows starts loading drivers) the screen goes black again.
Before this card I had a sapphire r9 280 and had no such problems. But here is where its strange. Before getting the r9 280 I had an Asus r7 260x and had this exact same problem!!! It's like I have this problem with Asus cards only.. The cable is the same DVI D cable I used to connect my r9 280 with no problem so the problem is definitely not the cable. Also the problem only appears after installing the drivers, before installing them I had no problems connecting the r9 290 with the dvi d cable.
