Hello everyone,

i am currently thinking of upgrading from an FX-6350 to an FX-9590 and i am using a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P Motherboard currently.

I read that the 9590 requires a 990fx chipset, what does this mean and does my current mobo support this cpu? it is AM3+..

many thanks,
Ciarán

so if i was to asking you to put down a psu, an i5 and a motherboard (that will support a gpu, wifi adapter and a pci-e ssd)

what would you suggest?

You probably will not need to upgrade the PSU if you go Intel.
