Comcast rolled out a speed increase in my area today, reportedly all you would need to do is reboot modem and that would apply the update.
tried many times and did not work.

worked with online agent and they did a few things and had me reboot modem a few times and we couldn't get it to work. They said they would need to send a technician out to check the wiring. This doesn't make ant sense to me as I am connected and have no problems and also I have been told by a technician that the speeds are controlled by the modem settings that are pushed to modem from isp. he also tested and said I had a strong signal when he was at my house.

Seems like the issue is my modem is not accepting or getting pushed the update correctly but that is just my guess, any ideas to how to resolve this without having the tech guy come out or any further troubleshooting i could do? I have a zoom 5341j modem.

Update-
Tech came out today and I had to leave for an emergency before he got there, He told my wife my modem was outdated and needed to upgrade, He is wrong, My modem is rated for 343 Mbs so 105 is not to high, I have also researched and found there are comcast users getting speeds over 105 Mbs with my same modem, will be contacting comcast again but anyone who has any ideas about how to fix this please post with things i could try to do to fix it....
