hi i have a amd 4100fx cpu in my system atm and i will be getting a mis r9 390 or a 390x in my rig and i was wondering how much would my current cpu bottleneck my new gpu like fps wise in high end games and things like that? also i am getting a xeon 1231v3 cpu in the near future to compliment my new graphics card and i was wondering would the new cpu also bottle neck the msi r9 390/390x or will it be okay?
cheers!

Your current CPU might bottleneck your GPU by quite a bit.. I would suggest that you get that new CPU as soon as possible as I doubt it will bottleneck your GPU at all.

Admirable
It will be huge, but you will have playable experience and probably much better FPS then you have now with your current GPU.
Also you will need rly good PSU for that GPU and for xeon new mobo, with new mobo you will need to reinstall windows.

Id say you getting about 75%-90% performance of the R9 with the 4100. Depends on what resolution, what graphic options you have turned on and if you cpu is overclocked or not. When or if you switch to Haswell you notice the speeds jump in memory tasks... Like loading a game for example it takes a minute to load BF4 on the 4100 compared to 15 seconds on the Haswell. Also the 4100 may bog down in high cpu intense areas in games where there are a lot of people or a lot happening in a small amount of space...

FYI i sold my AMD 6350 which was running a R9-280. Now im running a laptop i74800 with a GTX860M. My laptop runs a hell of a lot smoother in games I play. Though the frames per second drop about 10-20 fps... but the over all smoothness is better and load times are quicker. Both systems used the same disk Samsung 840 SSD 250GB. Same 8GB ram ect ect. And I am running at 1080.

Hope that helps!

Amazon or Ebay! What you do is go to Newegg pick item you want copy the description or part number and paste it into Amazon or Ebay search!

Then go Amazon if you want warranty. But Ebay has the better deals and you still get buyer protection. Only buy from people with 100% positive feedback. I just sold my 6350FX, r9 280 and 750 ps on there last week Sorry!
