[TIPS] make your intel stock cooler whisper quiet with only a single connector

some of you might not agree with me but it works so i'll just share it

i successfully make intel stock cooler on my server running whisper quiet with connector that come with my noctua cooler which looks like this

and the cpu temp stay at 46c ,and its been running for 1 week with no problem at all

if you dont have one of this connector just simply cut the yellow wire and put a 50 Ohm resistor in series (black adapter) or 100 Ohm resistor (blue connector)

I agree with cdabc123, those coolers usually come with a 4pin connector so you can just set a designated fan speed profile within some software. Doing a voltage mod on it just means that in the event that it DOES...

I agree with cdabc123, those coolers usually come with a 4pin connector so you can just set a designated fan speed profile within some software. Doing a voltage mod on it just means that in the event that it DOES start to overheat, the system will be trying to speed it up, but if the fan is at 5V or 7V and not on 12V, it won't be able to speed it up enough...
Otherwise, this is great for case fans!
