no display signal on newly built pc

so i just got the parts to build a new pc so i put it together but it doesnt display on the moniter but it seem to turn on and function so i installed a gpu from my computer and it still didnt work please help

Basically just make sure everything is where it should be and well connected. (And that you ran the cable from the GPU to the monitor and not from the motherboard).

When you turn the PC on are there any peeping noises? Does it stay on?
