Need a graphics card, AMD or NVIDIA?

I have around $180 (about 12K rupees) and was thinking of which to buy.
I'm not a hardcore gamer but like to play. I usually watch movies, surf the web, use Photoshop, Vegas Pro etc. So I feel like NVIDIA would help me in the list above, but I read AMD is a monster in game performance. I can't decide between the two.
Here's my Specs:
Intel Core i3 2120 @3.30Ghz
2GB Ram @1333Mhz (Single)
Windows 7 32 Bit (Will upgrade to 8.1 Pro 64 Bit later)
Intel HD Graphics 2000.
I multitask so I was thinking to squeeze in a 4GB ram stick.
If you could link those items to me it'd be so awesome. :)
P.S - I live in India

Sorry about no price and no link. here is the asus strix gtx 950 price at $169. Out of the box, it is one of the fastest if not fastest gtx 950.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121980&cm_re=gtx_950-_-14-121-980-_-Product

its speeds are:
Core Clock 1165MHz (OC Mode) 1140MHz (Gaming Mode)
Boost Clock 1355MHz (OC Mode) 1329MHz (Gaming Mode) just leave it in boost oc mode and pwn noobs

Also check these few links to see how the 950 compares to some common gpus and how it stacks up against the competition.

I can't give you an exact answer on what ram you should get because I don't know what exact one you are using but with the little leftover dollars here is a $12 stick of 2gb 1333mhz kingston ram. you can mix-match your ram if needed but it is not advised, especially if they are in the same channel. if you are willing to mix-match your ram, make sure one is in channel 1 and the other is in channel 2. hope this helps :)

Also there is no real world reason to have windows 8.1 PRO 8.1 casic will do just fine. Unless you are a corporate business worker with some server application then it would be advised but for basic home use and editing, save your self the $30-$50 and just get 8.1 basic
