Hi guys
I have an ASUS HD 7950 DC2T V2 and I've played around withoverclocking a bit. i got 1100 on the core and 1400 on the memory (probably much more headroom for the mem) @1.185v on the Core and stock 1.6v on the memory
I'm gettin about 62° max @40% fan speed in Gothic 2 with the Directx 11 mod (Most GPU dependend game i know, almost all the time 99% GPU usage
VRM1 temperature: 66° max
VRM2 temperature: 62° max

Are those temps safe for, let's say, 24/7?
And the voltage?
At how much of an performance increase do i look? Will it be on par with the 7970 (GHz)?

Those temps are easily good. The max I would say is 80 degrees+.
As for voltage 1.185v is fine for 24/7, I would recommend a max of 1.25v on the 7950 (you can go higher without problems but most people stick with 1.25)

Looks good.

As for on par with the 7970,

If you look at the graphics score that is done on a 7970 ghz edition. Which looks to be overclocked by just 20mhz, not much at all. So download and run 3dmark, compare your overclocked scores to this benchmark.

-good luck

download: http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks/3dmark?_ga=1.56224107.1569346999.1440768914#windows

Download the basic version, run all the benchmarks.

That looks okay to me. Although try running at stock clocks and see what you get compared to the overclocked results.

That last score must have been an overclocked 7970 (3dmark maybe didn't pick up extra overclocking), most other 7970 scores now I've seen get around 7500ish.
So 7000ish is quite good, it seems 3dmark scores vary alot.

However run some demanding games and compare your average FPS to a benchmark online. Just google it.
To match the 7970 score you would probably have to go 1150mhz-1200mhz. However your scores is still quite close to the 7970 score.

So looks like a good overclock to me, some 7950's at stock get around 6500-6900 score ;)

-good luck

edit: here is another 7950 scoring around 1500:
