No vga on graphics card

I want to buy a gtx 960 but my monitor has a vga port but the graphics card does not have any then how would I use the monitor with the graphics card??

I have tried using a dvi to vga adapter with my gt 610 but it shows black space on the sides. Will the same happen to the gtx 950?

possibly, you are taking a digital signal and making it analog then squeezing it through a different pipe. Best solution I think would be to buy a new monitor. If you're going to spend $200 on a GPU you can spend $100 on a monitor with DVI.
