Alienware mx17 extra hard drive not showing up in disk management.

I have a 2014 Alienware mx17 and just added a new 2tb hard drive in the extra hard drive bay, the hard drive shows up in the bios and in the Intel raid program, but not in disk management or my computer, i tried to rescan, but it still won't find it.

Hi there Urthwhyte,

What is the SATA mode of your system?(you can check that out in BIOS) Is it set to AHCI?
Apart from that, it would be nice if you just attach the drive to another system and see whether it is properly recognized. In case it is, you can do the following:
- Update your SATA drivers.
- Update BIOS in case the issue persists.
