WIndows Experience Index Graphics vs Desktop Graphics

I just downloaded Winaero WEI tool for my new laptop. It gives you a score out of 10 on a couple of things

For my first test I got a 5.1 in Graphics, and a 9.9 in desktop graphics.

What is the difference between these two?

Windows Experience Index is awful. Don't trust it. If the PC works for you then the PC is fine - there is no point getting a rating as everyone's needs are different.

I suggest you ignore the tool and it's results. It gives a relative score as to the ability of the system to run windows. It is not a valid assessment of the system for any other uses (video, photo or music editing, gaming or about any creative process). From what i see it has been dropped as an included application in Win10. Even MS knows it was a useless item.

I think the intent of it was to make you run out and buy all new upgrades lol every mechanical drive that was 7200 rpm always scores 5.9 on there scale where as SSD scores 7.1 to a 7.4 depending on the maker... It was a joke its not included in windows 10....

It's a bug in Windows 10 which causes the gaming graphics to show 9.9 regardless of the GPU. Same thing happened to me; I got 9.1 for desktop graphics and 9.9 for gaming graphics. Both were showing 8.8 on Windows 8.1, however.
