I have a motherboard gigabyte z77 d3h. Yesterday i have no display. the monitor light turns on or off. I have a gpu Ati radeon hd 7750 1gb ddr5 that is on the pcie x16 slot. On the pcie x16 the gpu fan is running but the pc is running and enter on the latest windows 10. i can hear the sound but no display. My Mobo bios version is f13. i place the gpu in the expansion slot and it works normally and have no problem with psu I think. So i assume my gpu has no problem.what is the problem? Is my pcie x16 is dead? but fan is running on the pciex 16. I have tried 3-5 times. but no result. Or my mobo bios has to update? please let me know.

My mobo: gigabyte z77 d3h
CPU: core i7 3770
Gpu: ati radeon hd 7750 1 gp ddr5
Ram: 8gb ddr3 1600 bus speed

Solution
Asus B75M-PLUS has less features than the GA z77 HD3, also the b75 has 1X cpu_fan and 1X cha_fan header only, not support RAID, the Z77 has more fans headers ( 1Xcpu+ 3X other fan headers), maybe get the ga Z77 hd3 if the price is almost same, like less than $10 between them.

thank you for the reply. but i have already done this. but the problem exists. i worried about my pcie x16 slot whether it is ok or not?

You can use the onboard iGPU to boot the PC, then try update the chipset driver ( you need the win10 version, and it comes with pcie controller driver ) and intel Management Engine Interface too. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4720#dl and try to boot, if the pc still can't boot, try update the BIOS to make sure it is not the software problem. If you try those update, you still have problem, that means the problem comes from the hardware, pcie slot.

pciex 16x controller by CPU , if you have another CPU try to replace it.
or usually there's not enough power from pciex 16x slot, try to replace capasitors 16v near pciex 16x slot

I have tried that one. but in igpu same problem that no display but pc is running. Only on pcie x4 there is no problem. I don't know why mu gpu fan is working in pcie x16 but no display. I think if pcie x16 is dead then how the power comes to gpu to rotate the fan. It's weird. Any option to repair the pcie x16 if it is dead. I don't have enough money to buy a new mobo.

But are you sure my pcie x16 is dead though the graphics card's fan is rotating but no display?

Thank you for the reply. So i have to buy a new mobo. I have a question that if i buy a motherboard of micro atx form factor then can i use gtx 980/ gtx 780 ti. Is gpu depnedable of the size of mobo?

No. Don't matter the size, as long as the MB can provide the feature you need, like the SATA port, one pcie slot for single GPU or two or more pcie slots for CF or SLI, etc. Also if you upgrade the GPU to gtx980 or 780ti, make sure you have a good PSU to handle the GPU, make sure it has enough wattage also the Amp on the +12V rail too, 980 needs 30A and a 500W PSU or up, 780ti needs 42A and a 550 W PSU or up, like this review http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_geforce_gtx_780_ti_gaming_review,7.html
One more thing make sure the new GPU will fit into your case.

Thank you for your replay. So i can use Asus B75M-PLUS/GigabyteGA z77 HD3 for gtx 780 ti / gtx980, right? which is one better you think?

I am using pcie x4 slot whereas my pcie 16 was not working. because i have not enough money to buy a new mobo untill yet. But yesterday i had kept my gpu on pcie x16 just to look and it was working . my display was working. but after restarting the pc the same problem persists. SO my question is my pcie x16 is really dead or my psu 400w (that was came with casing (in +12v it's 18amp only)) can't handle to give enough power to my hd 7750in pcie x 16 or the problem of hd 7750 .

I read your 1st post again, you said your MB has f13 version BIOS, but from gigabyte, the 1st BIOS is F18 for z77 d3h ( rev1.0 and 1.1), the rev1.2 has FA. I think you should check your MB with cpu-z and find the BIOS, and update it. Also may try to use the compressed air or q-tips with rubbing alcohol to clean the pcie slot and the GPU.
Or test the hd7750 in other PC to see it is fine or not. For your PSU, what model? you cam open the case to check it out, and post it back.

I updated the mobo bios to f22.i just clean my pcie and gpu but with no alcohol. i will try that one. My psu was coming from the casing. it's cheap psu that is 400 w and it has only 18 amp on its +12 rail. So i am thinking may be the psu is unable to deliver the power to pcie x16?
