So I was cleaning out my PC and removed my graphic card to clean the dust from the fan and I guess I was a bit too rough and broke the fan somehow... was wondering if I should upgrade my card or just get a new fan for it. Just wanted to know your advice/opinions! Thank you.

These are my specs btw http://support.hp.com/sk-en/document/c03924207

Also I would be using the computer for school, casual browsing youtube facebook etc and casual gaming.

Solution

Both cards are powered entirely by the pcie X16 slot which is a max of 75w.
Just avoid the evga FTW version which needs a 6 pin power lead.
You are good.

Yea I rather spend a little more so it can last until I'm done school got 2 more years to go. I just play League of Legends and go a little overboard during the summer break :ange:

Admirable
Honestly, I'd be looking at a 750TI or maybe a 950.

The 950 just came out and is the new standard for budget 1080p gaming, taking the crown from the 750Ti. I'd personally go for the 950 but you will probably be spending half again as much or so at around $150. You can usually find the 750Ti for $100ish, maybe a tad more. Honestly, for LoL, either would probably work fine.
