Hello, I have recently built a new gaming pc (my first one). After I have assembled it when i power on the motherboard only the bootup led lights up. I have to hit the DirectOk button turn the psu off and turn it back on and hit the DirectOk button again and then the computer turns on. Even when it turns on nothing comes on the monitor. Maybe the BIOS problem, because the Z87 need the BIOS for haswell refresh cpu, like your MB need at least 2004 version or up, even the 2004 version was released on 2014/05/30. It may not have it. And your MB can't use the asus USB BIOS flashback feature, you may borrow one compatible cpu from your friend or go to local pc shop ask for help. Or buy the Z97 MB.
