Hello, I have just reinstalled my Windows 7 legally with my key and activated. I try to install Windows Updates but "Checking for updates" message has been showing forever. I can also browse the web perfectly.
My OS is: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Might be a problem on their end. Try later. That happens to me occasionally too. But if this is your 1st update since the clean install, it will take a very long time anyway.
