it will not let me initialize it, literally it may aswell not exist. Alll drivers are up to date, it is recognised in the bios and storage in device manager. I cant explain it because i dont understand it but it will not lert me assign the drive any letter or anything. Any help will be appreciated.

Solution
You'll have to be a little more specific.

Which Samsung 840 drive are you using, an 840 EVO? What operating system are you using? Is this a new drive or a previously used drive?

The drive may be formatted in a way that Windows (which I assume that is what you are using) does not like. Plus, you should use disk management (in Windows 7) to work with the partitions. You can launch Disk Management by typing "disk man" in the Start Menu search box and selecting "create and format hard disk partitions" - providing the fact that you are using Windows 7.

Be very careful here - the hard drive that you booted from and its partition are in the list that you see.
What's the brand and model of the motherboard?

Which SATA port on the motherboard is this SSD plugged into?

What Operating System and version are you using?

Do you have Samsung Magician installed?

Is the latest Firmware version, for your SSD model, installed?

You can select a different entry as the solution when you find it. Did you try Disk Management? You just need to use the search box in the upper right of the start screen.

yeah thats the problem, disk management will not let me initialize or choose anything for it

Are you saying that no context menu pops up when you right click on the entry? There are two parts to each entry. A Volume part and a Partition part. Right-clicking in each p[art brings up a different context menu.
