(I have Windows 8.1)
Within the next several days I will be receiving an EVGA SSC ACX 2.0+ GTX 970. Currently I have a moderately outdated AMD R7 250 1GB GPU.

I have read posts concerning amd driver removal, but have noticed a trend of people ending up deleting all amd and application components, in short it also deletes the drivers that utilize amd components (usb/audio etc.)

I have noticed that people end up in a bad situation when they choose the Express Uninstall All AMD Software option.

**Is it possible to use the Uninstall Manager option instead? I am not aware if you can manually choose all the drivers that are associated with AMD through their program.**

This is the link to the AMD step by step uninstall http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx

Of course I noticed how it lures you into the express uninstall option..kind of feels like a !@#$ move from AMD.

If there are any trusted programs that can delete (all) AMD drivers and components for me? Then please let me know..I have never switched between two companies before, so this is all confusing for me!

You don't need to uninstall anything. AMD drivers don't interfere with vivid drivers though it would probably free up some resources to get rid of catalyst control center. Amd and Nividia both have the"express" or "recommended" installation option, it's not their fault you didn't look at the "custom" installation option, is it shady no it's a way to streamline options for consumers who dont' know much about computers. Granted if you know what you're doing it can suck if you accidentally click to fast and don't read the fine print ending up with a bunch of unnecessary bloat ware like game optimization's. But even then it's kind of your own fault. So meh.

Bloatware can be removed easily, just look at what you don't want and get rid of it, go to control panel uninstall look for specific programs if it's that important to you to free up a few resources.

Or you could just go to start msconfig and turn off all non essential amd drivers at startup. So you won't have to go through the install process and you free up some resources. If you don't trust yourself with doing a simple uninstall just leave the drivers alone they won't interfere with nvidia drivers.
