Hey Guys, I really feel like I need some help here :/

I was favoring the G1 Gaming for a very long time and now that the prices fell 50 Bucks due to the Asia economyflux, its finally time to buy 2 of them. I felt its time to do a last check up on any Experiences ppl made till now... So I did.... and I got overwhelmed with a flood of coil whining cries that I imagined like screams from burning souls :(((
Storys of Ppl RMA'ing 3, 4 times till they got one that was "ok'ish" in comparison...

The Palit Super Jetstream on the other hand had only good reviews. I know its not that known/common in the U.S. and some daughter/cousin of PNY. But its supposed to be super quite, no serious coilwhine issues were reported whatsoever and its also in a Silver/metallic scheme which fits my colorscheme - aside from the good out of the box perf.
BUT I've heard of 2 Cases where Cards randomly died after a year or so. Older gen. cards but still - never heard of that in Gigabyte circles.

Any thoughts or Experiences regarding those two cards would be very welcome!!!

Its my first build and its 1500 bucks, so the paranoia is strong with me :D

Really? Where did you get that from?

I will say this if you look at the overclocked portion of both gpu's the 980 ti is signficantly cooler at 63 degrees OCed at a slightly lower spec then the max oc on the super jet stream which i've never heard of incidentally maybe an asain market specific name. Thats at 55% rpm load of the fans and the jet stream did have a marginally higher clock at 70 degrees with a 60% rpm load on the fans. Still 63 degrees with an oc, sounds pretty darn good to me.

Also i'm skewed towards a g1 as i own one :p

The Asian specific one that is available in the UK? http://www.scan.co.uk/products/6gb-palit-gtx-980-ti-super-jetstream-pcie-30-%28x16%29-7000mhz-gddr5-gpu-1152mhz-boost-1241mhz-cores-281 You need to get out more!

I have 2 of the MSI GTX 980 Ti's in SLI and they are silent for the most part I game on a 3440x1440 monitor and playing BF# and BF$ I see temps in the mid 50's under load with a custom fan profile. The fans have never exceeded 60% and no whine.

Hmm, jelly. Where is it you live and what time are you going out? :ange:

Hahaha What the guys?? :)
I've spent some time in research while you were talking about your homosexuality and I just cound'nt find anything bad about the Palit. Even the Vendor with whom I spoke today asking about how often I can switch to a different G1 Gaming - in case it whines - asked me "Why not Palit, if I'm worried?"

I found out that Palit had to leave the U.S. Market because Economy sucks and that it had a 1 Year warranty at some point back then, which wasn't very reassuring. Then again I didnt find much Information overall in neither pro or con, except for the ocassional "OMG I bought it liiiiike..... 2 minutes ago and its liiiike so awesome...... and like..... it even works sooo good.... liiike any functional card fullfilling the specs its supposted to have"

Anyway - Im still not really closer to a decision :(

Maybe I'll just insure my pc and take the one that looks nicer :D

I've had a couple of Palit cards now, the last time was GTX560Ti's and other than one of the fans on one of them dying (which can happen on any card) they were stellar and I'm currently thrashing the wotsits off a Palit GTX960.

I've owned quite a few windforce cards over the years. That coil whine nonsense has never happened to me so, you know i could just be lucky or it's just the blanket term everyone likes to pull out. As a pan sexual i find it offensive that you would say i am a homosexual.
